Sensors and some parts not working
Trying to construct a model to sim our FLL robot and getting very frustrated. Color sensor seems to be properly registering and assigned a port. The real time data gives its read out (what are those 4 numbers anyway?) so the sim is using it. But, of course, the mindstorms program doesn't seem to be able to use it. The program works just fine for the included VRT robot, but it doesn't have the right wheels so can't be used for making a program for our real robot. Do not have time to do much tweaking on real mat which is behind locked doors in the school.
Made dog gears motor but the black knobs on the clutch plate pass right through the attachment spokes. The sim isn't making the spokes solid. Yes, the spokes do appear to be right between the knobs, and the knobs pass through them, not to the side.
Any suggestions? I see the dropbox link above for the VRT robot file, but I'll have to get a dropbox account. Any other links for it? Maybe I can change the wheels.

Hello Michael,
The color sensor values that you see in the real time data window are the RGB alpha values that correspond to Red Green Blue and transparency levels. This information is output from the color sensor that is processed to create a percentage value that you can see in the virtual brick under the color sensor port tab. These RGB values have nothing to do with the programming and won't be used for the same. This is just to give you some additional data from the color sensor. Refer to the percentage value that you see in the virtual brick for programming purposes.
For your robot design, send us your .lxf file at support@cogmation,com and we will look into it and will get back to you.
Thanks,
