Random results: clever or grounds for wet noodle slap?
RTK gives random results. I can see how this can be useful, but how do I turn it off?

Could you elaborate on what does RTK mean? Are you referring to Real Time Data?

Oops. Sorry. Frustration mixed with lack of sleep trying to get this to work. Virtual robotics toolkit seems to have some randomness built in, and I was wondering if it could be turned off. Making some progress with the truck and toy missions, but getting too many random results with wall following to push the truck.

Could you specify exactly as in to what random results are you getting?
Thanks,

Variations in direction. In one run the robot will push the truck onto the track. In another the robot gets hung on the wall or the sorting mission model. Not reproducible is what I'm saying. Nothing changed in starting conditions but different result. I thought it was a feature.

Hello,
It actually is a feature because the simulator works on a real physics engine which makes it as authentic as the real thing. So, as you notice some randomness in the real thing, the same way you notice some in the simulator. However, the physics engine on which the Virtual Robotics Toolkit works is going to be updated in the next 2016 release. After that is done the accuracy will improve by a good number.
