Gears spasming on my robot and tires are skidding
Hello, my team and I have been having problems with the Virtual Robotics Toolkit (VRT). Our first problem is with the friction of the wheels. We inquired with the staff of VRT and they presented us with a solution - changing the tire material to rubber, but that did not change anything. Our robot cannot move high speeds because our wheels keep slipping above 50 power level. Our second problem is with the gears. As seen in the video, the gears in VRT seem to be spasming despite us not moving anything. We even tried placing gears on the floor (nothing connected) and they still spun and moved around. When we try to move the motor, the motor itself and the gear directly connected to it, seem to move fine, but still cannot control the spasming gears. We've tried adding gears in increments and the robot was able to move up to 2 gears (meshed together), but adding another gear made the robot spasm again. We've tried making complicated gearings and sometimes the gears just pass through each other, ignoring the fact that they are connected, and continue spinning. We are unsure if this is a glitch or if we just did something wrong. We use Studio 2.0 to build our robot and the "collision" feature says that nothing is intersecting with each other. Can anyone share their insight on this problem? We have been stumped for a few days now. Thank you.
I've attached an .ldr file that contains my issues, and also a facebook post that shows multiple videos of my issues on VRT. I've tried contacting the support team, but considering that I live in the Philippines and they are based Canada its been really hard to establish consistent communication.

Hello Denzell,
It's very nice meeting with you and your teammates last night.
I understand that the time difference makes it impossible for you and me to reply to each other's emails promptly, because we won't be able to read each other's emails until daytime. It is the reason why I suggested a meeting at your most convenient time to address all the questions that you and your teammates had about your robot and our software.Glad we did it. I believe I also passed on our developers' feedback about your robot during our meeting.
Please feel free to contact us whenever you and your friends have any questions. If needed, we can schedule another meeting. I will be more than happy to talk to you guys again.
Best regards,
Ruby
